Mind over matter

Tick tock.
My mind wanders and suddenly Im somewhere else.
I've been there before and my heart urns.
My feet would move to be near You.
My lungs merely inhale to breathe You.
And I'd cross the ocean,
although the ocean moves according to Your whim.
Tick tock.
I don't want to be here.
My mind is still somewhere else.
But here my feet keep moving,
my lungs keep breathing,
and the ocean still waves me
a sentiment goodbye.
Tick tock.
Tick tock.
Tick.
Tock.
Maybe one day this clock will stop.
and I won't be reminded,
I won't be longing,
I'll just be.
My feet will be where they're supposted to,
lungs breathing in the right air,
and the ocean won't have anything on me...
